Hey there! I'm Gabe Blanco, a Video Journalist / Producer at The New York Times focused on culture, lifestyle, and travel. As an early member of the Reporter Video team, I helped launch and scale the newsroom’s vertical video efforts, shaping platform-native formats and workflows that are now core to the Times’ digital strategy.
Prior to joining the Times, I worked extensively in travel-focused documentary, with a hand in the full production pipeline. From concept development and field production to editing and publishing, I’ve operated at every stage of the process, building a strong command of camera work and the Adobe Suite while developing an end-to-end approach to visual storytelling.
